Big Dreams

Is there something that you've always thought you'd like to do, some Big Dream that you've kept tucked in the back of your mind, but lacked the opportunity, resources, or maybe courage to pursue? Is there something that, if money were no object and you knew you could not fail, you'd drop everything and do it -- right now?

Maybe that "thing" is a heart-driven desire: an old childhood dream, a bucket list item, or some personal goal. Maybe that thing, that Dream, is income-driven: a financial target, something that need to be fixed, or a loss you'd like to recover. Or maybe your Dream is pain-driven: something you'd do for someone else if you could or a need you'd like to see filled.

Whatever it is, maybe it feels just out of reach; or maybe it feels lost forever.

I am a follower of Christ and a person of faith. Recently, I've had cause to reconsider whether all our old dreams are truly lost. Is it possible instead that old dreams, long buried, are really just germinating? That right now, even as you think the time is past, the dream, the goal, the idea, is slowly breaking through the shell of the seed and, even now, taking root?

Some Big Dreams just require Big Time.
