On Sunday, January 30, the Cincinnati Bengals defeated Kansas City in overtime 27-24 for the AFC Championship. Next stop, SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA, where the Bengals will face the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, February 13, for the Super Bowl 56 title. This is Cincinnati's third trip to the Super Bowl and Los Angeles' fifth.
I drew this the day before the AFC game but health and other delays prevented posting before now. It's from a suggestion from my friend Gina and is the first in a series I'm calling "Out of the Box."
Honestly, this was a "get 'er done" piece and very difficult for a variety of reasons, most having to do with simply being WAY out of practice for so long. In my past life (as an educator) I've taught students who could do far better. Still, having the opportunity, at this phase in life, to pick up a pen or pencil and doodle, draw, or color is a true blessing!
